1. How do I apply for the bursary?

Please download and complete the bursary Application Form and send it, along with a copy of your tuition receipt or confirmation of post-secondary program enrollment, to multiVIEW Locates Inc. in Mississauga, ON before midnight on July 29 of the designated bursary program year.

2. Who can fill out the bursary application form?

The bursary Application Form can be completed by the applicant (student) or a multiVIEW employee family member (you, your parent/step-parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling or legal guardian).  Only one entry per person (student) will be accepted.  Duplicate entries will be eliminated.  Applicants (students) entering the bursary program aren’t guaranteed to receive one.

3. Who is eligible to apply for the bursary program?

A dependent child, sibling, spouse, parent, or any other person (student) related by blood, through marriage or adoption (“family”) of a permanent, full-time multiVIEW employee.  The person (student) must be 17 years of age or older, a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, and is enrolling part- or full-time in a post-secondary school program at an eligible institution. Please note that the multiVIEW employee must be employed at the time of the family member’s (student’s) application entry and the random draw to be eligible to win the bursary.
Persons (students) that reside in the province of Quebec are not eligible for the bursary program, as well as family members of multiVIEW’s senior management team, trustees, and board members.

4. Can I apply for my children as well as my nieces and nephews for the bursary program?

Yes.  You can apply for as many family members as you like, as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.  However, we will only accept one entry per applicant.  Duplicate entries will be removed. Entrant’s Application Form must be received before midnight on July 29 of the designated bursary program year.  Applications received after the submission deadline date will not be accepted and are ineligible for the bursaries.  Please note that previous winners are not eligible for the bursary program.

5. How does the bursary program work?

The bursary program is based on lottery system.  multiVIEW’s Bursary Program Committee will randomly draw 5 winners from all eligible entries received.  The bursary is for up to $1,000 CAD per winner.  Winners are only eligible to receive the bursary once throughout the lifespan of the bursary program.
The selected winners will be contacted by phone and email, and will be required to comply with following to be declared a winner of a bursary:
  • Submit proof of post-secondary enrollment at an eligible institution on a full-time or part-time basis for the upcoming academic year.
  • Provide proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.
  • Sign a “Release and Consent to Publicity” agreement.

Failure to comply with the above bursary program requirements will result in immediate disqualification from the bursary, and another randomly selected winner will be chosen.

Winners will receive a monetary award to cover the cost of their academic program for a maximum $1,000 CAD, whichever is less.  Award will be provided in cheque form, payable directly to bursary winner or to the post-secondary institution of enrollment on behalf of the winner.

6. How many times can an applicant apply for the bursary program?

Only one entry per applicant (student) will be accepted.  Entries must be received before the deadline date stated on the bursary Application Form.  Winners are only eligible to receive the bursary once throughout the lifetime of the bursary program.

7. What is the deadline for entering a student in the bursary program?

Entries must be received before midnight on July 29 of bursary program year.  Applications received after the submission deadline date will not be accepted for the bursary program.

8. My family member is going to a school outside of Canada. Can I still apply for the bursary program?

Only persons (students) enrolling in a Canadian-based post-secondary academic institution as approved by the Ministry of Education and Training, such as colleges and universities, and registered private vocational schools are eligible for the bursary program.
Persons (students) enrolled or enrolling in a post-secondary academic program based at an academic institution located outside of Canada are not eligible for the bursary, regardless if the academic program will be provided online or virtually.

9. Who is eligible to win the bursary program?

To be eligible to win the bursary, entrant must meet the following criteria at the time of the selection:

  • Is an immediate family member or relative (e.g. child, sibling, spouse, parent, uncle, aunt, cousin) to a permanent, full-time multiVIEW employee that is currently employed and has been with the company for at least one calendar year,
  • Is a minimum of 17 years of age,
  • Has an official statement of enrollment at an eligible post-secondary institution for the upcoming academic year, and
  • Is a legal citizen or permanent resident of Canada.

10. How are winners selected for the bursary program?

Winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received.  Selected winners will be contacted by email and phone and will be required to:

  • Submit proof of enrollment at an eligible post-secondary institution.
  • Verify he/she is a Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
  • Correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.
  • Sign a “Release and Consent to Publicity” agreement.

Should any of the winners fail to fulfill the bursary program requirements, they will be immediately disqualified from the bursary program.  Should this occur, another randomly selected winner will be chosen.  This process will continue until 5 winners are declared.

11. How much funding could I receive from the bursary program?

That depends on the cost of your post-secondary program enrollment.  If you win a bursary program, you stand to receive a non-repayable grant that will cover the cost of your program for one year or total program, whichever is less, and up to a maximum of $1,000 Canadian dollars (CAD).

12. How will I be notified about the bursary decision?

You will be notified by phone if you have been selected a winner, as well as receive a follow-up email that will confirm you have been selected an eligible winner of the bursary.  But before you are deemed an official winner, the email will request you:

  • Submit proof of post-secondary program enrollment at an eligible institution
  • Provide proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency using an eligible government-issued photo ID
  • Asked to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question
  • Complete, sign and return the “Release and Consent to Publicity” agreement

All requested information and/or documentation must be provided within 14 days calendar days of original email notice and request, and must also meet the bursary program requirements.  Failure to meet any of the requirements and timelines will call for your immediate disqualification from the bursary.

Note that the contact information (i.e. mailing address, phone number, and email address) provided in your bursary Application form will be used to notify you as a selected winner.  Therefore, it is important that you provide complete and accurate contact information in the bursary program Application Form.

It is also the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify multiVIEW’s Bursary Program designator in writing if he or she changes mailing address and/or contact information after Application Form has been submitted.

13. How will I get my bursary funding?

If you are selected a winner of the bursary program and meet the bursary program requirements, the financial award will be made by cheque, payable directly to the post-secondary institution of enrollment on the winner’s behalf or to the bursary winner, and is dependent on payment status of academic program enrolment. Any and all taxes on any bursary awarded, including but not limited to, income taxes, and any incidental expenses associated with collection of the bursary, are the sole responsibility of the bursary winner.

In the event that you are unable to attend an eligible institution because of: i) Illness, ii) entering the armed forces, or iii) any contingency approved by multiView Locates bursary designators, the payment may be postponed and the money shall remain the property of multiVIEW Locates Inc.

14. If I am in international student, can I apply for the bursary program?

No.  International students are defined as non-Canadian students who do not have “permanent resident” status and have to obtain the authorization of the Canadian government to enter Canada with the intention of pursuing an education, and therefore not eligible to apply for the bursary.
